On Tuesday the Glen Taylor year7/8 team had their first Netball grading game. We all had mixed feelings, We versed Remuera Intermediate. My position was GS (Goal Shooter). We were dong pretty average in the first quarter of the game. Then we started to get more and more points as time passed by. At the end we ended up defeating our opponents. Our scores after 40 minutes were 33-1. It was a new event for me and it was really fun. At the end of the game we were filled with joy and happiness.
Term 3 Week 4, majority of Team Tui took part in a basketball tournament, as part of the Tamaki cluster. There were more than 10 teams, attending from other schools within the Manaiakalani cluster. This experience helped develop my skills of basketball and it was an awesome moment. We challenged 3 teams on the day. Teams from Tamaki Primary, Glen Brae and Sylvia Park. We all had a great experience and lots of fun and we were undefeated. The highest score for us that day was 56 – 9. How cool is that?! Something I learnt on this day was the most important skill to have, and thats TEAM WORK, and emphasising on the importance of communication.
